Hongqi (means red flag in English) is a high-end automobile brand directly operated by China FAW Group.
In 1958, the first Hongqi vehicle was born and became a state-owned car for national leaders and major national events. For the Chinese, Hongqi is not only a famous car brand but also a deep feeling and sacred memory. In the 1960s and 1970s, Hongqi cars were a banner of China’s automobile industry. After the reform and opening up, Hongqi began the marketization process while continuing to undertake the important task of the “national car”.
On April 25, 2018, the Hongqi brand made its debut at the Beijing Auto Show for the first time in its history.
