Xpeng Motors (or Xiaopeng Motors) was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Guangzhou. It is an Internet electric car brand under Guangzhou Chengxing Intelligent Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. It was initiated by He Xiaopeng, Xia Heng, He Tao and others. The main team members are from Guangzhou Automobile, Ford, BMW, Tesla, Delphi, Valeo and other well-known auto or car parts companies, as well as Alibaba, Tencent, Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei, and other well-known Internet technology companies.
In January 2018, Xpeng Motors delivered 39 new cars and became the first Internet car manufacturer to enter the new energy vehicle sales list of CPCA. On January 10, Xpeng G3 model made its world premiere at the CES International Consumer Electronics Show in the United States.
