Recently, China MIIT website published information of brand new FOTON TUNLAND Pickup. Inferred from time, it is right the new model that was previously exposed by BAIC-Foton, this is also another heavyweight pickup after the launch of Foton Tunland E7, the model has already attracted a lot of attention among Tunland pickup fans in China since it has not been listed, and has already had a large number of fans in the market. The two pickups are expected to be available in the second half of this year.

There are two variants of four models in the declaration information. As we can see from the declared photos, the two new large pickups are full of American-style, consumers can choose different styles of front grille. One is the original Foton’s diamond badge, and the other is the letter emblem with the word “FOTON”, adding a blackened hexagonal design makes it a Chinese “Raptor”. The tailgate can also be equipped with different styles of trim. The pickup is also available with two styles of rims, guardrails, external rope hooks, and engine underguards, oil tank lower guards, rear window defrosting system, front radar and cargo compartment treasures, etc.

In addition to the great changes in appearance, it can be seen from the public information that body size of the two new variants (crew cabs) are the same: 5630x1940x1860 (1870) mm, truck bed size: 1805x1580x440mm; body size of extended cabs are 5340x1940x1860 (1870) mm, the size of truck bed are 1520x1580x440mm. Compared with the current Tunland E-series pickups, it has increased in length and width, it will provide consumers with a better product experience both in room and in the truck space.

According to previous media reports, FOTON TUNLAND has defined this new pickup as a combination of pickup + passenger car + SUV, which means that it not only has large load capacity and versatility of traditional pickup, but also a SUV with good handling and off-road performance.
