At the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show, Chery Fulwin A8 officially made its debut. This car can be considered as the renamed of Arrizo 8 PHEV, renamed as Fulwin A8 after being included in the Chery new energy product Fulwin series. The new car will be equipped with the Chery Kunpeng super hybrid C-DM system, consisting of a 1.5T engine and dual e-motors. It will have a 7-second acceleration capability and a comprehensive range of 1300km. According to the plan, the new car will be officially launched by the end of this year.
The Fulwin A8 adopts the same exterior design as the Arrizo 8 fuel model, which has a strong visual impact. The front face adopts a dot matrix design with a large mouth grille, and above it is embedded the latest flattened logo of Chery New Energy. In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width, and height of 4780/1843/1469mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2790mm, which has a great advantage in the compact car market.
The interior also continues the design of the fuel model, creating a simple and technological visual effect, equipped with dual 12.3-inch instrument dials, and supporting wireless phone mapping function (Wireless CarPlay+Huawei Hicar). In addition, in terms of configuration, the new car will also be equipped with an openable panoramic sunroof and ventilation and heating functions for the driver’s seat.
In terms of power, the new car will be powered by a plug-in hybrid system consisting of the fifth generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI high-efficiency hybrid engine and e-motor, with a maximum engine power of 115kW and a maximum torque of 220Nm; The maximum power of the e-motor is 150kW, and the maximum torque is 310 Nm; The transmission system is matched with a DHT150 hybrid transmission, acceleration time from 0-50km/h is within 3s and 7-second from 0-100km/h.
