AIWAYS has made new progress in the fuel cell business that has been deployed. Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony of AIWAYS methanol-reforming hydrogen fuel cell technology was held in Gaoping, Shanxi, which means that its methanol hydrogen fuel cell project in Gaoping has officially landed.
It is reported that the methanol-hydrogen fuel cell power system plant of AIWAYS is located in Mishan Park, Gaoping Economic and Technological Development Zone. It covers an area of 100 acres and has an investment of 2 billion yuan to build an annual output of 80,000 sets of methanol-to-hydrogen fuel cell power systems. Strive to bring important social and economic significance to automobile energy at home and abroad.
Fu Qiang, co-founder, and president of AIWAYS, introduced the details of the project at the scene, saying that AIWAYs will base itself on Gaoping, integrate high-quality resources at home and abroad, and promote competitive products to the domestic and overseas markets on a large scale, making Gaoping a The birthplace of global methanol hydrogen fuel cell and automobile application.
AIWAYS is an EV maker startup headquartered in China, it is also an internationally positioned new energy smart car company and smart travel service company. In recent years, AIWAYS has been actively deploying methanol-reforming to produce hydrogen. In February 2019, AIWAYS invested in Blue World Technologies, a company dedicated to the design and manufacture of methanol fuel cell systems, headquartered in Aalborg, Denmark. In September of the same year, Blue World Technology broke ground on a new battery plant in Aalborg, Denmark. After the plant is completed, it will provide Alco with methanol-reforming hydrogen production fuel cells. For AIWAYS, on the one hand, the self-developed methanol-hydrogen fuel technology has the advantages of being more efficient, environmentally friendly and convenient; on the other hand, it can solve the current shortcomings of new energy vehicle charging life.
As early as November last year, AIWAYS announced that it would build a methanol-to-hydrogen fuel cell base in Shanxi Province. At present, the groundbreaking will be further implemented after 9 months. Undoubtedly, the hydrogen fuel cell field is a strategic emerging industry, which is strongly supported by the state and is also a major direction for the future development of new energy vehicles.
