Qiantu Motor brought a new model the K50 Spyder Concept to 2019 Shanghai Auto Show. Qiantu K50 Spyder Concept is actually based on Qiantu K50 which is Qiantu Motor’s massive produced electric supercar, it is also the first EV from Qiantu Motor.

K50 Spyder Concept features open-top design and will offer customized service two core concepts to create a unique travel experience for users.

K50 Spyder Concept convertible model continues the K50 design elements and style, K50 Spyder Concept has a new design for the folding roof, and further optimized based on the K50 design, showing the unique temperament of the roadster through the surface changes.

The shape of Qiantu K50 Spyder Concept continues the design of the K50, it is very aggressive.

Orange elements are added to the left and right sides of the front spoiler

The headlights are designed in narrow shape and a striped air inlet at the bottom to increase the dynamic sense.

The front dragonfly logo is also changed to orange, which is very personal.

Rear view mirror is painted with orange and black, two-tone color contrast design has strong visual impact

The convertible canopy is manually disassembled, the electric convertible canopy can be customized in the future, even the scissor door.

The wheel style is sci-fi style with size of 20 inches and tire size of 235/30 ZR20.

The tail part is in line with K50, but added a huge spoiler.

The shape of the spoiler is very exaggerated.

The orange K50 nameplate on the rear of the car is decorated to make it more refined.

The interior continues to follow the design of K50. The instrument and the central control panel all use large screen, which is also the favorite design of mainstream electric vehicles.

But some orange decorations are added.

The shape of the gear lever is small and smart, with gear indicator light on it, gear lever and center console design is consistent with K50

An orange decoration is also used around the sound behind the seat.

The vehicle is equipped with two seats, using the same one-piece aluminum-magnesium alloy skeleton as the k50, and the K50 leather/Alcantara splicing material is also inherited.

Qiantu K50 Standard Version

On August 8, 2018, Qiantu Motor’s the first production electric car – Qiantu K50 was officially launched in the Suzhou production base. The new car is a two-door two-seat electric sports car, positioned in urban electric supercar, all electric range exceeds 236miles(380km) under NEDC working condition. Price is 686,800 yuan(~US$99,386) after the subsidy.

Lightweight is the key feature to Qiantu K50 body structure. Its body-in-white adopts aluminum alloy frame structure, and uses a large number of advanced self-tapping screws, cold metal welding, inert gas protection welding, glue bonding and other technologies. Under the guarantee of strength, the weight is only 234kg, it is 38% less weight than traditional sheet metal steel vehicle body. In addition, in terms of the cover, it uses 29 carbon fiber covers to cover most part of surface, weighing only 46.7kg, which is 20% lighter than the aluminum alloy cover.

Qiantu K50 Standard Version

Qiantu K50 is powered by dual-permanent magnet synchronous motor with maximum power of 280 kW and maximum torque of 580 N·m. In BOOST mode, the peak torque can reach 680 N·m and the maximum power can be increased to 320 kW. The acceleration time from 0-100 kilometers is less than 4.6s, maximum speed is 200km/h.

Qiantu K50 can realize intelligent switching between rear drive and four-wheel drive to cope with different road conditions.

The capacity of K50 battery pack is 78.84kWh, but at the same time it has also achieved a full-scale quality of 1960kg.

Body size: 4634/2069/1253 mm, wheelbase of 2650mm.

Qiantu K50 has three driving modes: economic mode (smart four-wheel drive), sport mode (full time four-wheel drive) and BOOST mode (more extreme power output).

Qiantu K50 emphasizes the handling, the most direct experience in high-speed cornering, stable body, and firm tire grip – this is also the most proud of K50: it uses a four-wheel double wishbone suspension system trained by HORIBA MIRA.
