On September 21, Xpeng Motors’ flagship model Xpeng G9 was officially launched. The new car launched a total of 6 models with a price range of 309,900-469,900 yuan. The new car is positioned as a medium-to-large pure electric SUV. It is built based on the X-EEA 3.0 electronic and electrical architecture. It is the first mass-produced 800V SiC ultra-fast charging platform product in China. The delivery will officially start at the end of October.

The front face design of the Xpeng G9 still retains the X Robot Face family design language, and the design of the bar-type headlights is very representative. At the same time, the new car, like the Xpeng P5, combines lidar and headlights, which subtly echoes the lines surrounding it.

The side of the new car looks very thick. The integrated waistline and skirt line add a sense of hierarchy. A small decoration is carefully designed on the fender, and a camera is installed, which is very clever. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4891/1937/1680 (1670) mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2998 mm. At the same time, the new car is also equipped with hidden door handles, frameless windows and 21-inch wheels with low wind resistance, etc., so that the wind resistance coefficient is only 0.272Cd.

At the rear of the car, the bar-type taillights combined with the shoulder line design widen the visual effect of the rear, and the effect after lighting is also very delicate. It is worth mentioning that the roof rack of the new car also has a built-in 5G communication antenna, which not only fulfills the design requirements, but also meets the functional requirements.

The 10.25-inch LCD instrument is very family-style, and the center is two 14.96-inch dual screens with built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155P chip. The car-machine system adopts the latest X-mart 4.0 system of Xiaopeng, which has a 3D human-computer interaction experience function, which can project the physical world into the car-machine screen, very cool.

In terms of intelligent driving, the new car will be equipped with dual NVIDIA DRIVE Orin intelligent driving assistance chips, with a computing power of 508 TOPS, which will help the XPILOT 4.0 system. In terms of hardware, it will be equipped with 31 sensing components, including 2 lidars, 12 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors; it can realize full-scene assisted driving from the starting parking space to the ending parking space, including parking spaces. Park out, go to the city road, expressway/expressway, then to the city, and finally open the whole scene of parking space.

In terms of power, Xpeng G9 provides rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, of which the four-wheel drive version is equipped with a silicon carbide three-in-one electric drive system, with a maximum power of 405kW and a maximum torque of 717 Nm. The rear-drive version has a motor with a maximum power of 230kW and a maximum torque of 430N·m. In terms of battery life, the 570G and 570E models are equipped with a 78.2kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, and the battery life is 570km under CLTC conditions; the 702E model is equipped with a 98kWh ternary lithium battery and has a battery range of 702km under CLTC conditions. The 98kWh ternary lithium battery has a range of 650km under CLTC conditions.
