Geely‘s electric vehicle brand Zeekr launched a compact SUV, Zeekr X, it is based on the SEA vast architecture. The new EV is offered by a total of 3 configurations, priced at 189,800 to 209,800 yuan. The new car will be officially delivered in June 2023. This is Zeekr’s first SUV model and battery range will reach 560km.
Zeekr X is based on the SEA vast platform and is positioned as a pure electric compact SUV with a maximum battery life of 560km.
Highlights of Zeekr X
- Zeekr X is the first SUV model of Zeekr brand, and it is also the third model after Zeekr 001 and Zeekr 009;
- The new car is featured with a new design language, the raised daytime running lights once again indicate its identity of Zeekr. The car also uses designs such as frameless doors and frameless exterior mirrors;
- The central control screen of Zeekr X can be moved from the middle position to the co-pilot position through gesture sliding to meet the entertainment needs of the co-pilot;
- Acceleration from 0-100km/h is 3.7s. With the layout of front and rear dual motors, the four-wheel drive version has a peak power of 315kW and a peak torque of 543N m, making Zeekr X the fastest compact luxury car ever.
In terms of appearance, Zeekr X was designed by a team led by Mr. Stefan Sielaff (He is currently the vice president of global design of Geely Automobile Group, and is in charge of the overall design work of Geely, Geometry, Lynk & Co and Zeekr brands.). The new car adopts a new design language. The smart matrix LED transmission headlights are hidden in the front grille. The flat design creates a digital sense of technology.
On the side of the body, the new car has a flat roof line, which allows rear passengers to have better headroom in the car. It is worth mentioning that Zeekr X features hidden door handle, which is rare in its class. In addition, the frameless windows, frameless exterior mirrors, and hidden charging port cover design make this car more technological.
In terms of model size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4450/1836/1572mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2750mm.
At the rear part of the car, it is featured by the popular bar-type taillight group, and the ZEEKR brand logo is added in the center of the taillight, which not only enriches the visual layering of the rear, but also improves the vehicle recognition.
The interior of the new car is very interesting. The 14.6-inch central control screen in the car can be sliding through gesture, it can smoothly move from the middle position to the co-pilot position, while meeting the functional needs of the main driver and the entertainment needs of the co-driver.
In terms of power, the new car provides options for single-motor rear-drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive models. The single-motor model has a maximum power of 200kW, while the dual-motor model adds a motor with a maximum power of 115kW to the front axle. Zero-hundred-acceleration is 3.7s.
The new car will be equipped with a ternary lithium-ion battery, providing 500km, 512km, 540km and 560km range options.
