On December 20, the mass-produced version of IM LS7 was unveiled and pre-orders started, with a price of RMB 350,000-500,000. This is the second EV from IM Motors. It is positioned as a medium-to-large pure electric 5-seater SUV. Official says it has many innovations in terms of seats. In terms of battery life, the 100kWh+ single-motor rear-drive version has a cruising range of about 660 kilometers under CLTC cycle conditions, while the dual-motor four-wheel drive version has a more powerful power performance. It is reported that the new car is expected to be officially launched in mid-February 2023.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a closed front face design, the headlights on both sides present an “L” shape, and the interior is equipped with LED light eyebrows. In addition, the front surround of the new car is designed with three sets of ventilation openings, the openings on both sides are equipped with LED daytime running lights, and the bar-type vents below increase the horizontal visual width.
Viewed from the side, the roof line is relatively smooth, and there is no excessive rib design on the side of the body. The straight waistline and raised door ribs are used to highlight the sporty atmosphere of the car. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5049/2002/1731 (1763, 1773) mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3060 mm.
At the rear of the car, the new car is equipped with a large-sized roof spoiler, and the taillights adopt a bar-type design, which is very recognizable after being lit. In addition, the rear enclosure of the new car also adopts a double-layer design, and a wrapped rear diffuser style is formed below, giving the overall sense of movement.
In terms of interior, the new car features a triple-screen design of LCD instrument panel + central control screen + co-pilot display, the huge screen features a narrow frame design, and also has a lifting function, combined with the officially called “half-spoke steering wheel”, and a built-in touch LCD panel in the central channel area, all the combinations make the new car have an excellent appearance. In terms of power, IM LS7 is expected to provide two battery versions of 90kWh and 100kWh, of which the 100kWh+ single motor rear drive version has a cruising range of about 660 kilometers under CLTC cycle conditions. Its total system power can reach 425 kW, peak torque is 725 Nm, and it only takes 4.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
IM LS7 is the second model of IM Motors. At the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, the concept version of IM LS7 officially met with us. At the Guangzhou Auto Show in the same year, the official interior image was exposed. Subsequently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will complete the declaration in July 2022, moving from concept to mass production.
