SAIC Roewe R ER6 goes on the Chinese market

The SAIC Roewe R ER6 was officially launched in Shanghai today, it is offered in a total of 3 models with the official price of 162,800-200,800 yuan (~US$23,443 – 28,915) after subsidies.

This the first pure electric sedan from Roewe with the newly released “R” badge. Roewe R ER6 features SAIC’s so-called “Smart Design” new intelligent electric design concept. In terms of details, it uses a closed grille design, with multiple ribs on the engine compartment cover, which is full of sportiness. At the same time, the addition of the new R badge also makes the front face look more attractive.

The overall line of the side of the body is smooth, and the design of the through-type waistline is adopted to visually increase the length of the side. In terms of rims, the new car uses a five-spoke petal rim shape. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4724, 1835, and 1493mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2715mm.

Viewed from the rear, Roewe R ER6 is a traditional sedan model, but a small ducktail shape is designed on the edge of the trunk. The new headlight group adopts Y-shaped LED light source, and the central chrome decorative strip is further widened the visual effect.

For the interior, the Roewe R ER6 adopts an enveloping cockpit design side, with the simple lines of the center console and the two-color interior tones, giving the overall sense of hierarchy. In terms of details, the car uses a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a 14.1-inch 2.5D curved large screen, and a 12.3-inch LCD instrument.

In terms of power, the new car is powered by aa E-motor TZ204XS1152 produced by Huayu Automotive Electric System Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 184Ps. The car is equipped with a ternary lithium-ion battery pack. The energy consumption under NEDC operating conditions is 12.2kWh/100km, and the NEDC cruising range reaches 620km.
