On May 20, Trumpchi GS4 COUPE, a coupe SUV under GAC Motor, was officially launched. The new car is powered by a 1.5T engine and matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox. A total of two models were launched at a price of 136,800-146,800 yuan (~US$19,225 – US$20,630).
The biggest highlight of GAC Trumpchi GS4 COUPE is the individual appearance. The design of the coupe-style makes it look very dynamic overall. The front face of the new car incorporates “lightning” and “arrow & rain” design elements, especially the headlights have a strong recognition.
As a COUPE SUV, the car uses a slip-back roof, coupled with red and black color treatment, is expected to have a high rate of a second glance 😊. In terms of details, the car is chrome-plated on the roof and under the windows, officially known as the “dark silver hook”. The wheelbase of the car is 2680mm, which is exactly the same as Trumpchi GS4 on the same platform. However, because of the change in shape, the body measurements have been adjusted.
The shape of the rear part of the car is very powerful. The taillight design is also completely different from Trumpchi’s current design style. On the roof, a high-level brake light of up to 1100mm is also installed. As a sports positioning model, the car is also equipped with a bilateral exhaust.
The interior of the new GS4 is already very nice, so there is no need to redesign the GS4 COUPE from scratch. But the design team adjusted for many details, and ultimately brought a completely different style from GS4. First of all, a lot of Alcantara fabric was added to the car, and secondly, a lot of red elements and carbon fiber style elements were used to embellish the car.
In terms of power, Trumpchi GS4 COUPE is powered by a 1.5T four-cylinder engine. This engine has a maximum power of 169 horsepower (124kW) and a maximum torque of 265N · m. In terms of transmission, it is equipped with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox.
